By Chris Boggiano

Coming from a military and engineering background, I was excited to work with LaunchLKN to host an event about the next generation of combat vehicles.

The U.S. Army wants to design forward-thinking combat vehicles and is looking to hire people and suppliers with the following expertise:

Everblue's headquarters is just a short drive from Mooresville, NC (also known as Race City, USA) so while brainstorming upcoming community events with LaunchLKN, it seemed like this topic brought together the right people in the right place at the right time.

NASCAR engineers and machinists are the best in the world at pushing the limits of automotive technology. Also, NC universities produce graduates with expertise in mechanical engineering, robotics, computer vision, additive manufacturing, battery technology, and autonomous vehicle technology.

We hosted this event at the Joe Gibbs Racing ballroom in nearby Huntersville as part lecture, part job fair. It was exciting for me to talk about the synergy that exists in the military, engineering, and racing industries. I always enjoy learning about progressive technologies, and I think it was beneficial to provide awareness of this up-and-coming career pathway for local NASCAR and engineering enthusiasts.
