Coming from a military and engineering background, I was excited to partner with LaunchLKN to host an event focused on the next generation of combat vehicles.
Exploring the Future of Military Technology
The U.S. Army is actively designing forward-thinking combat vehicles and is seeking talent and suppliers with expertise in:
- Machining
- High-performance engineering
- Robotics
- Artificial intelligence
- Additive manufacturing
- Computer vision
This event provided a unique opportunity to highlight these emerging needs and connect them with local expertise.
The Perfect Setting: Race City, USA
With Everblue headquartered just outside Mooresville, NC—better known as Race City, USA—the timing and location made perfect sense.
NASCAR engineers and machinists are among the best in the world at pushing the limits of automotive performance. At the same time, North Carolina universities are producing graduates with skills in mechanical engineering, robotics, battery technology, and autonomous systems.
Bringing these groups together created a powerful intersection of industries.
Bridging Military, Engineering, and Racing
We hosted the event at the Joe Gibbs Racing ballroom in Huntersville, blending elements of a lecture and a job fair.
It was exciting to explore the synergy between military innovation, advanced engineering, and racing technology. Events like this not only spark meaningful conversations but also introduce new career pathways for local engineers, students, and racing professionals interested in cutting-edge technology.
I always enjoy diving into emerging technologies, and it was especially rewarding to help bring awareness to this evolving space.
