The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has expanded its partnership with Everblue by digitizing the Aquatic Pesticide Application exam and allowing candidates to take the exam via remote proctoring.

Expanding a Proven Partnership with CT DEEP

Everblue and CT DEEP began offering online pesticide certification exams in early 2021. Following the successful launch of the initial exams, CT DEEP continued to expand the program—adding more certifications to improve accessibility and efficiency across the state.

“We’re honored that CT DEEP chose to work with Everblue,” said Chris Boggiano, co-founder of Everblue. “Each exam we add is another example of how we’re helping the state become more efficient and productive.”

Introducing Online Aquatic Pesticide Certification

The Aquatic Pesticide Application exam is one of two permits regulated by the state and governs the use of chemicals introduced into public or private waters to control aquatic organisms.

By offering this exam online with remote proctoring, candidates can now complete their certification from home—eliminating the need for travel and providing greater flexibility.

A Growing Portfolio of Online Exams

Everblue’s online testing portal currently administers, proctors, and scores a wide range of Connecticut pesticide exams, including:

  • Agri Plant
  • Aquatic
  • Arborist
  • Bird Control

  • Forest
