Everblue, a provider of secure online exam delivery and remote proctoring solutions, today announced the launch of the European Window Film Association (EWFA) Advanced Solar Control Exam, a new online assessment designed for window film professionals across Europe.
Developed by EWFA for the European market, the exam gives professionals an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of advanced solar control technologies, applications and industry practices. Everblue will provide the online exam infrastructure and remote proctoring, allowing candidates to take the assessment remotely.
The launch builds on Everblue’s work with the International Window Film Association (IWFA), which began in 2021. EWFA is the European chapter of IWFA, and the new exam extends an established online testing model to support professionals across the European market.

Bringing Advanced Solar Control Knowledge to More Professionals
EWFA provides technical education and resources to advance the professional window film industry throughout Europe. Its Advanced Solar Control Education Guide examines the role professionally specified and installed solar control window films can play in upgrading existing glazing and improving building performance.
Solar control window films can help reduce unwanted solar heat gain and glare, filter damaging ultraviolet radiation and support thermal performance. In suitable applications, they can also provide a less disruptive alternative to complete window replacement.
The new EWFA Advanced Solar Control Exam assesses candidates’ understanding of advanced solar control window film principles, applications and industry practices. The online exam includes 93 questions. Candidates have one hour to complete the assessment and must earn a score of at least 80% to pass.
Before testing, candidates receive requirements covering their computer, internet connection, webcam, microphone, testing environment and remote proctoring procedures. During the exam, candidates follow established testing rules and may use only resources specifically approved for the exam attempt.
Secure Testing Across Geographic Boundaries
Everblue’s online exam delivery model gives associations and credentialing organizations a way to reach candidates across geographic boundaries while maintaining consistent testing standards.
For IWFA, Everblue provides online exam hosting, registration, payment collection, badging and virtual proctoring with real-time identity verification. The same testing infrastructure will now support EWFA candidates across Europe, with Everblue providing the technology and operational support behind the testing experience while EWFA remains responsible for the exam’s industry content and professional objectives.
The Advanced Solar Control Exam will initially launch in English, with additional European language versions planned. The multilingual rollout will allow EWFA to make the assessment accessible to a broader range of professionals across European markets.
By extending an established testing model to EWFA, Everblue is helping the organization expand access to professional assessment without requiring candidates to travel to a centralized testing location or EWFA to build a separate testing operation for each market.
