The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) has expanded its partnership with Everblue by digitizing the Commercial Food Processing exam and allowing candidates to take the exam via remote proctoring.
Expanding a Trusted Partnership with MDAR
Everblue and MDAR began working together in July 2020 with the launch of online pesticide certification exams, including the Core and Commercial General Pest exams. Following the success of the initial rollout, MDAR continued to expand the program by adding additional exams to the platform.
The addition of the Commercial Food Processing exam marks another step forward in modernizing certification delivery across the state.
Increasing Access with Online, Proctored Exams
The Food Processing Certification is designed for managers and supervisors of commercial food-processing plants, particularly those working with aseptic, acidified, and low-acid foods.
By leveraging Everblue’s online testing platform, candidates can now complete the exam remotely with secure proctoring—eliminating the need for in-person scheduling and travel.
Everblue’s platform currently supports a wide range of Massachusetts pesticide and related certification exams, including:
- Core
- Dairy
- Dealer
- Catch Basin
- Aerial
- Aquatic
- Food Processing
- General Pest
- Mosquito
- Right of Way
- Shade Tree Ornamental
- Termite
- Turf
- Cranberries
- Greenhouse

- Vegetable
“We’re honored that MDAR continues to expand its partnership with Everblue,” said Chris Boggiano, co-founder of Everblue. “Each additional exam reflects the efficiency and reliability our platform brings to the state.”
MDAR plans to continue launching additional certification exams as resources allow.
