Jon Boggiano to Speak on Innovation Thinking at MFGCON

The conference will feature the most up-to-date and relevant topics from North Carolina's most influential manufacturing thought leaders.

Boggiano, an alumnus of West Point and Stanford Business School, has co-founded and grown several mission-oriented companies. His primary focus is Everblue, an NC-based technology company specializing in innovation, software systems, and training. At Everblue, he leads the Innovation division and oversees the company’s strategic growth.

What Attendees Can Expect from the Innovation Workshop

Boggiano’s session will focus on innovation thinking—helping participants reframe their mindset, uncover deeper insights, and generate creative solutions to real-world problems.

“People assume that innovation is somebody else's responsibility,” Boggiano said. “But organizations succeed when they encourage input from everyone.”

His workshop includes:

  • A 12-step innovation process inspired by Stanford d.school
  • Small group collaboration and brainstorming
  • Hands-on tools like Legos and Play-Doh to spark creativity

The goal is to help participants break out of routine thinking, build creative confidence, and approach challenges with an experimental mindset.

MFGCON, now in its seventh year, will take place May 18–19, 2022 at the Durham Convention Center. Boggiano’s session will be held on the first day from 10:45–11:45 AM.
